Taylor J Kovar – CEO
Taylor is the CEO and founder of Kovar Capital Management LLC. After starting his finance career with a major Wall Street firm, Taylor decided to branch off and start Kovar Capital in order to provide his clients with a more personal wealth management experience. He has been quoted and published in a variety of different media on topics ranging from healthcare to youth ministry to technology to, of course, personal financial management. Before founding Kovar Capital, he was a key member of the team that helped launch and implement one of the fastest growing healthcare technologies in the United States, HealthTrust Software.
His passion in life is to be the example of what a Godly husband, father, and businessman represents. He lives his life and treats others the way that he wants to be treated and it is this lifestyle that has made him a trusted advisor to individuals and businesses across the globe.
Taylor is married to his high school sweetheart, Megan, and they live in Lufkin with their three young children.
John “Kyle” Porter
Kyle’s passion in life is to change the world around him for the better. He routinely sacrifices his time and finances to help those in need and few things bring him more joy than putting a smile on someone’s face. His desire to help others is what pulled him out of a prestigious oil and gas career and into financial planning. Kyle is an expert in alternative investments, private business development, and is also considered the go-to guy for finding the perfect energy investment for individuals of all risk levels.
Kyle and his wife Lacey live in Lufkin with their two young sons and a playful beagle.
Joshua D Vinson
Joshua earned his doctorate from the Albany College of Pharmacy, a degree which consequently earned him a good deal of student loan debt. The ensuing journey toward financial freedom taught him a great deal about debt management, wealth accumulation and asset allocation, and motivated Joshua to help others become fiscally responsible. Managing four separate pharmacies over the past nine years has given Joshua even more insight into building wealth and developing successful workflow models.
As a financial advisor, he is motivated by the same objective that initially lured him toward a career in medicine: to impact lives in a positive way. He believes time is our most valuable commodity, and the acquisition of capital should not be the primary focus of anyone’s time. Joshua is passionate about helping people gain financial freedom and increase passive income streams, creating more revenue while allowing precious hours to be put toward the things in life that matter most.
Claudia Gonzalez
Claudia began her college studies pursuing a general degree in business. Looking to combine her love of math with a strong desire to help others, she sharpened her focus and headed down the path of finance. She was immediately taken with this new field and graduated cum laude from SFA with her finance degree. Now her interests and passions are merging, crunching numbers and using her investing knowledge to help other people live their best lives.
Claudia lives in Nacogdoches, TX, and loves spending time with her young son and taking the occasional trip to Chick-Fil-A.
Tori Jones
A life-long resident of Lufkin, TX, Tori earned her bachelor’s in tourism management from Texas A&M, then tacked on a professional event management certificate. Both programs included plenty of focus on marketing, a field Tori enjoys and excels at. She loves having a job that affords her the opportunity to meet people, design marketing materials, and have a real impact on the company’s success.
For three years, Tori worked for the Angelina/Lufkin Chamber of Commerce. Now her home life includes spending time with friends, family and her two black labs, as well as the periodic Netflix binging session.
